Frida

I had the chance of being selected to participate in Light Grey Art Lab's GIRLS: Fact + Fiction show, a celebration of female characters from, you guessed it, fiction and reality. I picked iconic Frida Kahlo, a lady of Fact, for many reasons. I love her story, admire her character, and thought she would be a lot of fun to treat visually.

This is the first time my work is in a real deal gallery, and in the States, so it's all pretty exciting! The show is full of amazing interpretations, you should really have a look! Maike Plenzke's Ophelia is simply gorgeous (as you'd expect!), and check out this Samus, and this Rapunzel!

You can have yourself a Frida prints for $25 (US, + shipping) though Light Grey Art Lab's online shop, as well as a limited edition book featuring all 100+ interpretations of ladies. Holiday shipping is available!

If you happen to be in the Minneapolis area between December 7th and January 4th, please stop by the gallery to have a look at the show!
